Lisa Browning, Education Coordinator with the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre  

Raised in Peterborough and Trent U graduate, she guided us through what we need to know about freshwater turtles and how we can be a steward in their protection. 

The rehabilitation of injured and neglected turtles from issues most often caused by humans will enlighten our understanding.  Her presentation focused on the passionate work the OTCC does.  And, how fortunate for us, its headquarters is right here in Peterborough.

Many commented after the presentation about wanting to take family and friends to the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre to learn and be more vigilant about our own behaviour with our precious environment.
